Shear Design: One-Way Slab
Shear design for a slab is similar to shear design for wide members. Therefore the requirement for no shear design is [1]:

where:
Vc = The shear acting in the concrete
Vu = the allowable shear for the concrete slab. The allowable shear can be calculated here.
Vu = the allowable shear for the concrete slab. The allowable shear can be calculated here.

Similar to beams, the critical shear section will act a distance "d" away from the face of the support. d = The depth to the rebar
